    The coffee from Lake Atitlán Regional has a unique flavor, but it’s not just the volcanic soil that makes them unique. Its proximity to volcanoes and rich in minerals such as nitrogen, phosphorus, magnesium, iron oxide, and potassium contribute to its distinct taste. Lake Atitlan has three active volcanoes, Toliman (1963), Santiaguito (1969) & Acatenango (1974). This picturesque region is where you will find exquisite coffee beans grown on fertile volcanic slopes surrounded by mountainsides dipped into deep green lakes fed by mountain streams cascading down rocky cliffs lined with banana trees; watch out for toucans!

    • Fraijanes Coffee variants

    There are wide different varieties of coffee beans in Guatemala, but there is one that stands out. The Huehuetenango coffee growing region provides high-quality coffee with hints of fruitiness and low bitterness.

    Nestled in the mountains of Central America is Huehuetenango. Despite being at such a high altitude and close to higher mountain ranges, it remains warm all year round due to its Mexican atmosphere. The region’s only primary forest is in Xalbaxtón Reserve, where some of Central America’s oldest trees also reside!

    • Nuevo Oriento coffee valiant

    Coffee enthusiasts can trace the flavor of Guatemalan coffee beans back to the country’s history. Traditionally, Nuevo Oriento coffee beans were almost exclusively grown by small producers, but there has been significant growth in large plantations in recent years. The most common types are pache, catuai, and bourbon.

One of the main differences between coffee from Nuevo Oriento coffee variants and other types is that it is usually acidic, with a strong aroma.
